P-EBT Info
The Pandemic EBT Program, (P-EBT) is a one time federal COVID related program that allows school children who are enrolled and eligible for free or reduced-priced meals through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) at their school last year in the 2021-2022 school year.
Please note: USDA waivers were in place during SY 2021-2022 allowing all students to receive free meals. Children enrolled in school are only qualified to receive P-EBT if they were determined free or reduced eligible via a meal application or direct certification (if your child was on an DWSS, SNAP, TANF or Medicaid program in the SY 2021-2022)
This is a benefit that will be issued on an electronic benefit card for the days they did not receive meal service at their school because of a COVID related absence or COVID related school closure in the 2021-2022 school year.
P-EBT eligibility is not determined by Douglas County School District; therefore, our School Nutrition Program office has no information on whether you qualify or not. P-EBT cards are being issued out to eligible families and those cards come from the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services.
